Since the venue wasn’t available until later, she had us start at the salon at 6 a.m., and then came with us to the venue to finish and do the final touch-ups. I was especially nervous because my hair is quite thin and has been falling out. I’ve had some bad experiences with hairstylists at weddings before, and my mom is also a hairstylist, which makes it hard for me to trust just anyone with my hair. I had decided to use clip-in extensions for a fuller look, with braids and soft curls, but I was worried it might be too much to ask. When I showed Melanie the picture and the extensions, she was enthusiastic and confident about creating the look I wanted. She worked effortlessly with the extensions, constantly checking in with me to make sure I felt comfortable and that she was on track with my vision.

As someone whose mom is a hairstylist, it’s always a little hard to sit in another stylist’s chair, but Melanie made it feel so easy and comfortable.

I have thin hair. Apparently, and by my experience, it's hard to cut and look good. Terrance in Gig Harbor Hair Masters had an online recommendation for being good with this type of hair. I tried him and it looks really good! I don't even need to style it now. Yes, highly recommended? Woohoo“
