What an amazing find this was on San Juan Island in Friday Harbor. I was too busy while wrapping up business and getting my boat ready for my annual trip to Roche Harbor for the 4th of July to squeeze in a haircut and decided to find a "local" salon in Friday Harbor instead. I looked on Yelp and contacted a couple of salons and then decided to jump on the shuttle and make the 20 minute trip into town. I walked by Local and walked into an incredibly charming and cool salon and Connie was sitting behind the desk and after I asked about getting a walk in haircut she warmly whisked me in, sat me in her chair and gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had.... read full review

As Good As It Gets is the perfect review for Local Salon and Connie Auge. I have been sitting in Connie's chair for over 13 years for cuts and color, always with amazing results. Connie is the only stylist for our house! She does both my hair and my husbands, and is the ONLY stylist I recommend. We are blessed to have such talent on San Juan Island.
