This clinic, from all my experience over many years, is excellent. I have found the office staff to be friendly and efficient. Of the doctors currently working there, Dr. Annette Fly and Dr. Anna Edgecomb, both are excellent. Last week I had a skin cancer biopsy performed on several dark spots on my back by Dr. Fly and two assisting RNs. The procedure was quick, efficient, and they made the experience as comfortable as it could be. Results proved that there needs to be one spot completely removed in a follow up appointment. Dr. Fly called me at 6:45pm tonight to explain the follow up in detail. That kind of medical professionalism is outstanding and demonstrates the care South Island Medical provides. Since the clinic was sold to ? not sure what corporation - they are very short staffed and even if you are a long time patient it takes months to see anyone! I was told they are short staffed and are having a hard time recruiting. Probably need to raise the salary and benefits to make it possible to live on the island!! The existing providers which there are only a few are excellent, but the appointment scheduling is terrible because of the short staff!

South Island Medical has been an excellent choice for me to receive very good care by passionate, knowledgeable, and caring providers. All my health issues have been addressed in a very very timely manner, and I find the entire staff friendly and helpful. I feel they sincerely care about their patients. I highly recommend them!!!!!
