“I've seen both Brooke and Jenny and both are great. This is my first time doing electrolysis and I've been doing it for about 5 months now. It is not a painless process by any means, but there are different time limits you can set from 15 - 60 minutes. I cap out at around 30 minutes before I'm done.

The entire process is probably going to take about 2 years I've been told, but I only have to go about every 3 weeks to 4 weeks.

“Took my 13 year old daughter to see Allie for a curly specialist cut here and was BLOWN away by the results. My daughter had never had a professional haircut, she also had really uneven hair due to pulling a stuck hair pony out in the back. Her hair is very thick and tight curls, we were both so nervous and Allie assessed her hair so quickly and delivered exactly what we asked for. I could not believe how well she blended the back, you could even tell what had happened by the end. She talked my daughter through the whole process, offered her learning and was just a really kind nice person to come to. We will be coming back specifically for Allie and her curly hair magic! “This story is long, but important:I started electrology in Portland, Oregon in 2016. I had no issues tolerating the procedure other than some mild redness and the expected discomfort. I had done laser in the past and it wasn't effective; the hair just returned after a month. I was excited to have finally found a type of hair removal that was effective. I had to move to Washington at the end of 2016 and needed to find a new electrologist. The first person I tried made me very uncomfortable. The office wasn't clean, the procedure was incredibly painful and I arrived home with huge blisters, which then turned to tiny pore sized scabs all over my face and finally left me with a few scars. I tried another person, who's office was clean, but I still ended up with incredibly painful scabbing and scarring. Even worse, the hair returned after a month, which was horrifying after what I went through to get it removed. Being a nurse, I knew this wasn't normal, and I had also not experienced this in Oregon. I had almost given up on finding someone new to finish my hair removal, but I did some research and shockingly found out that electrology is not regulated in Washington state. It explained why when I lived in Oregon, I never had these issues with cleanliness, effectiveness, pain, scarring, etc. I googled a few more electrology clinics, calling and asking what kinds of electrology they did. Most people couldn't even tell me! That's when I found Leanne at Monroe Electrology in 2018 and I've been going there ever since. Not only is Leanne the sweetest person, she is efficient, certified and safe. She actually went to school and was certified in Oregon, so that made me feel better. My experience with her is exactly like the one I had with my electrologist in Oregon; I never leave with blistering, scabbing or scars. She is the only person I trust to perform this procedure, a procedure that definitely should be regulated for client safety. I would definitely recommend doing your homework before allowing someone to perform an invasive procedure like electrolysis in Washington.“
