“Our baby arrived earlier than expected and I was supremely disconnected from the whole thing even during my pregnancy so I didn't get a chance to plan any shoots at all. When my baby arrived, it all kicked in very quickly and I reached out to Julia when baby was 4 days old, begging Julia to accept our appointment for a newborn shoot. She was supremely kind and helped out immediately. Very very kind and thoughtful and helped me (with my mom brain and 4 day postpartum brain) to understand the process and everything. I would have never ever gone with anyone else. I thoroughly loved the entire experience beginning from booking to the shoot. Her studio is sooooooo shabby and chic and I absolutely loved it. It was raining out the day we arrived and she was so nice to help us carry our items in. We had a very rough previous night with the baby but Julia worked a charm on our baby and baby was very very cooperative throughout the shoot. Julia has a way with babies and it shows!!! She had the set up done prior to our arrival and made it nice and cosy, let me choose from the color themes she had, helped me pick one if I were too confused by showing me pictures of previous babies with similar skin tones and color themes so I could understand better too. She factored in the time to feed the baby and for our costume change too. She talked to me about the challenges of a new mom and helped me with tips on lactation too which was so so so nice to hear bc I was on the verge of losing my mind. Julia is an amazing human and a very very talented photographer. You really do get your buck's worth (and faaaaar more). We have a Sony alpha that we use to capture daily moments but you simply cannot beat the studio structure and especially her editing skills which show her prowess. It's not worth missing out on making these memories by choosing to click your own at home. We still take pictures of our baby at home with our portrait lens but what Julia offers is beyond trivial home shoots. Will go back to her for further baby shoots and memorabilia forever and she's the only one I'd recommend.
