I've been seeing Dr Xue for over a year now. The first visit was for kidney stones and he took care of them with one visit. Since then he's treated me for gout, hardly even a twinge since, and various other pains and strains. He has treated my planter fasciites and this year I've had my best allergy season in 20 years. Dr Xue has a great sense of humor and had called me several times in between visits to make sure that I'm ok.

Accidental Discovery Left Me Dumbfounded. One day while looking for a massage therapist who can do a Thai massage, I stumbled on Healing Sage Acupucture (because they share the same office) and thought, “huh, I need one of those too”. First off, the credentials of Dr. Xue is impressive and that alone made me book an appointment. Appointment day consultation was quick but thorough. My experience with Chinese doctors is they care immensely and get to the point (which scores extra points in my world) 😉 By the end of my appointment, he managed to tell me exactly WHY (in detail) my body is not working properly, what herbal remedies I need to drink, and positive words to bring comfort. I said, “so you’re saying I’m not dying?” He looked at me with complete bewilderment before uttering “No, of course not, your body is only really sluggish, out of balance, but you will get better doing …” I walked out stronger and with HOPE Ok here’s the part of the story that gets good… I fractured my foot and decided to still have my weekly treatment until I could get into a foot specialist. I tell Dr. Xue what happened to my foot. He asks me, “Do you want to know how we would treat this in China? Because in Chinese medicine we do things different than in Western Medicine, but I won’t discourage you to see your specialist”. Of course, I’m like… “yes please”. This is where you let go of what you are told as to “keep foot immobile add Ice, etc”. Since this was a crack and not a break, his form of treatment was astonishing. With needles + a type of needling I have never experienced before to remove stagnated blood and a type of physical therapy (yes, he exercised my foot within 30hrs of my initial injury). He cheered me on as I was following his directions and the pain started to dissipate. After 40 minutes, he says “Ok, now I want you to stand”. I’m thinking to myself, “Oh yeah, Rrrrrrrright!” 😩 (Silently cringing at the thought of how that’s gonna happen). He guided me off the table and is asking me the whole time to tell him what I’m feeling? With a blank stare I say. “How did the intense pain go away?” He is just beaming with a giant smile. He sends me off with herbal patches, specific teas, and homework to keep moving but listen to my body and rest. But to do the foot exercises to keep blood flow so my body can start healing itself. Within 48hrs of injury, I’m only using my crutches to guide and stabilize me as backup. My neighbors are shocked that I’m walking barefoot and mobile. I’m SHOCKED that I’m walking barefoot, mobile and without over the counter pain meds. Only Chinese herbal teas Dr. Xue gave me. By Monday morning, I made my own choice to cancel meeting the foot specialist (since they’re only going to tell me to do the opposite of what Dr. Xue). Instead I put the money I would have spent going to them towards my treatments and herbs with Dr. Xue. It was the best decision I ever made! My accidental stumble upon Dr. Xue in the beginning ended up ironically helping me with my literal accidental stumble. Myself, husband, and neighbors included were truly dumbfounded with such dramatic results so quickly. I’m not new to Chinese medicine, so I’m not sure why I was so in ‘shock and awe’? Maybe it was because Dr. Xue almost feels magical (figuratively speaking). Dr. Xue is the genuinely warmest, compassionate, positive, caring person I’ve had the pleasure of receiving treatment from. He actually believes me when I say, "I'm following wellness protocol". I now leave more motivated and with happy tears. (Vastly different from my former practitioner). His knowledge is grand (again, read his credentials). Camas, WA has a gem and now after writing this (My hubby and I better book way in advance now) LOL. 😂 I sincerely hope my personal experience will help you find your own path to wellness! ☀️❤️🙏🏼 #bestacupuncturist #chinesemedicine #camas
