Great organization with 12 reformer and classes from outstanding instructors. Super clean facilities , friendly concerned staff, and reasonably price. Highly recommended by a 20 year veteran of different studio's around Portland and vicinity.
I didn't get off to the best start with Club Pilates. First let me explain I have tried to start classes with 4 Club Pilates locations over the past few years. Redmond, Bellevue, Camus and Vancouver.Each class was cancelled except for my introductory class in Camas.I noticed they don't have Cadillac reformers during my visit to Camas, I have joint hypermobility and a pelvic floor issue, I asked if they have a Cadillac there or at another studio because Cadillacs help me to have a visual not to overextend, I also explained my pelvic floor problem (endometriosis) and asked if they would recommend someone who does private classes on it. I was told the Camas location only has half a Cadillac but a trainer in Vancouver has the same conditions and they felt she would be a really good fit.So I call the Vancouver, WA location to talk to them about it. As soon as I said I was looking for this specific person, that they were recommended because the trainer supposedly is really open with their troubles with endo.The woman on the phone just started laughing.It felt so rude and unprofessional not to mention just the absolute lack of compassion or care for someone struggling to advocate for themselves.Eventually I said it's really awful that your laughing at me for sharing this information with you.....She continues laughing...Then eventually she calms enough to say well I don't think it's appropriate that information was shared with you. First- is that a reason to laugh uncontrollably at me? Secondly, I didn't search out that information it was given to me by 3 people who work at Club Pilates, Camas. I then reiterated that fact to her.She started laughing again. Eventually I became really flustered and hurt. I kept explaining that it was hurtful behavior and asking her to stop.She kept laughing, eventually I decided this experience wasn't worth it. Told her that her continuing to laugh at me was very hurtful which by the way only made her laugh more. I had to hang up.I wrote the company on their website and didn't even get a response. I was so appalled at my experience my husband didn't want me to sign up there.I've been taking private classes with someone locally that is fantastic but I really want some group classes as well so eventually I decided to go back to Camas where at least people had been nice.I went in and paid for a 5 class package to try it out, I didn't want to be pigeonholed into a membership till I knew it was good and they wouldn't be cancelling all the time...The front desk staff helped me make my first 3 appointments and I confirmed it on the app they had my upload.My first class was YUP YOU GUESSED IT! CANCELLED.So today I show up for the 2nd on they schedule and....CANCELLED.I got a text as I was standing at the door that said the instructor had to cancel due to a plumbing issue. Weirdly the sign still said open.Now I'm stuck in the same situation trying to catch up to booking because these passes only last a certain amount of time. It's so hard to book and actually follow through with the class part with this company.I give the Vancouver location 0 stars.So far I'm giving this 3 stars due to the experience thus far. If that gets any better I will definitely update this review.
