The worst experience I have had with a contractor. Vince sold me on his company. They replaced our roof and while it looked good we found out 4 years later our roof was leaking around both of our chimney's. They did not replace the flashing around the chimney's, folded the old flashing over the top and attempted to screw the flashing into our brick chimney's. Those workers knew our roof was going to leak when they made that decision. We have a warranty, SR sent a guy out and he said it was not their problem, our chimney's were leaking. Now also known as Sound/Metropolitan Roofing: They are merging. We'd give 0 STARS if we could! AVOID this company! They do not stand by their work.FOUR LEAKS in our SEVEN-Year-old Roof and insulation blocking the bird blocks!Spring 2016: Sound Roofing Systems, Inc. installed a GAF roof, insulation and gutters.January 2017: First leak in living room and attic. Vince, the owner fixed.January 2021: Another leak in the living room and front entry near skylights. Had new roof, some plywood and gutters installed a year ago. It appeared they did a good job. Were on time and cleaned up. After a year the shingles have lost a lot of granules. I know they lose some. My twenty year old shingles looked better than these after one year. Weird dent marks spread all over. One shingle looks almost like it has a hole. Several shingles lifting up. One shingle buckling. One of the plumbing vent caps has a hole in it. Gutter leaks at seam over front door. I have called several times and no return calls. There is supposedly a warranty but if you never call back hard to keep customers happy. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT using this company.
