“We have two kids in the mixed martial arts program and they both love it! Amber is so good with them and it’s so fun to watch them progress.“
“Isla jiu jitsu is a clean and well organized jiu jitsu gym to train at. The coaches and professors are very knowledgeable. Safety is priority here and the vibe is always good. Family oriented and they have a great kids program from the tiny kids to the juniors classes. They have schedules to accommodate busy families. I recommend that you try the 3 free classes to make sure the culture, vibes and jiu jitsu classes are the right fit for you before signing up. Give it a go and change your life forever. Highly recommend“
“FMAA is a great school! Good with families, understanding with parents and considerate of the kids!“
“We are so grateful to have found this studio. The Kim’s are exceptional people. We have 3 daughters practicing the art now and they can’t wait for each session to come. The environment feels like a family. Skill level is high, expectations are high, but the Kim’s balance it all with tremendous care and patience. This studio enforces what we teach at home: belief, confidence, respect, and grit. Highly recommend, without reservation.“
“Ok it is official. I believe Q's Taekwondo is by far one of the best in all of the state if not the region. Not because of the facility or location, because of what is taught and instructed between those walls. We were fortunate enough to come across Q's while living in Puyallup and so glad we did. For over a year, my 7 year old at the time blossomed. He enjoyed learning Taekwondo and it is what got his attention. Besides, martial arts, he was growing as a child and developing great social skills, learning concepts of respect and integrity every class. With the home rules and structure being taught, I'd say every kid would greatly benefit. But I want to stress how important the instructor aspect is. At the time I was very impressed with Master Q and other instructors. But unknowingly, didn't know how exceptional they really were. Unfortunately we had to relocate across the state and have tried now 4 Taekwondo dojangs and have not came close to Q's. The structure and engagement lacked at all of them and even came across a couple that were only in it for the money. We have no other choices around that come close to what we are looking for in a dojang so we started classes in Karate because its the best we can find here in Spokane. This review is to reiterate, don't pass on Q's in Puyallup. Your kids not only learn fundamentals and Taekwondo as a martial art but really, they learn great foundational attributes that stick with them. We've been away from Q's for just about a year now and my son still applies his home rules he learned from Q's. Trust me. You won't regret.“
“Great location and time! I suffered from karate overload and my phone dying trying to record too much!“
“Moved to the new dojo at 214th. Sensei Monica is amazing and holds her students to a high standard.“
