I was very surprised to see all the negative reviews for St. Joe's hospital. I have had a hip replacement, and a double bypass operation on my heart . Later I needed a stent for a blocked coronary artery. These heart operations saved my life each time. I was extremely impressed with the skill and compassion of the doctors and the nurses. I went in via the ER department and they took care of me quickly and professionally. I feel fortunate to have such a great hospital in our town.
On October 17th my wife went to the Cardiac Center at Peace Healoth for a heart procedure/ We were there for 7 hours, undergoing severalo tests. Everyhone that we encountered, I would guess about 15 employees in total, were fantastic. Wow. What a caring and giving bunch of people. Each one of them was very pleaant, supportive and professional that it was amazing.m A "maid" kind of emplo9ee was there at times and was terrific. A dcouple of doctors came to the room to explain what was going on and what the resuolts of all of the tests meant. They were great. When a person goes to the hospital they put their trust and health in the hands of strangers. We could not be more grateful for the wonderful care that we received from the whle staff at the hospital. It started with the reeptionist and ended with a dedicated employee waaloking us out to the car. Congratulations fo the staff there....................and thank you for the great experiencee we had a Peace Health. Bette and Alf Our rating is a 5.
I am currently a patient at SJH overnight after a joint replacement. I am having a hard time sleeping because of the pain, the nurses have been trying help me sleep. By the way the Nurses are Great! I am in a room with 4 cubicles. At 1am, they moved my neighbor to another room, then the Housekeeping came back, and turned on the lights and then making a small ruckus and he proceeded to redo the cubicle loudly, with no consideration for me, 15 to 20 minutes with no regard to my situation which had been well documented by the nurses. This was beyond rude and lousy patient comfort and care. I expected better from SJH.
