The owner and lead trainer, Sam is incredibly caring, dedicated and talented at what he does. We are midway through private lessons with our high energy puppy and learning so much! Her progress is slow, but REAL, and I believe it will be life lasting vs just following treats around to give an impression of obedience. You must be ready to pour a lot of time and energy into your dog via daily homework and prepared to enforce boundaries and discipline via controlled leash pops. (Good and safe enough for Monks of New Skete = good enough for me!)We have such a good time there and love his warmth and passion for dogs and their owners- I want to adopt Sam as my uncle.

We love Cedarwoods! We've been going to them for 18 years. Most recently we took my very reactive GSD mix in for training. The first group class we could barely enter the building, the second class we spent most of the time in the building, and the third class she was laying calmly at my feet waiting for her turn in the lesson!

This is now my 3rd dog I've taken through cedarwoods and I couldn't be happier! The results speak for themselves as you can see my Catahoula mix can so a sit stay without me hiding the leash after only 6 classes! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to train a dog without treats or clickers!
