I purchased over $11,000 of flooring (including installation) from The Home Depot in Williston. The store delivered incorrect material, and was notified by the installers on the day of installation. This is the result of trying to get this resolved: Home Depot store email: I've been working on your order and I'm putting a claim through from the wrong items I'll let you know the expected time frame on that once I get that from the vendors. I'm sorry for the delay and mix up on that order. I've been working as quickly as possible to get this fixed for you. I'm the only one in the after sales department this week so I'm working through a lot of problems this week and its going a bit slower than normal because of that. I apologize about that. My response: This is a wholly unacceptable situation. While I appreciate your staffing concerns, this order was placed on 11/9/24, and was delivered on 11/25/24 for installation on 12/2/24. The installation team identified the problem on the morning of 12/2, and you should have immediately been working to rectify the vendor error and had materials reordered that day for delivery as soon as possible. I should not be asked to REPURCHASE items that I have already bought and paid for, while you wait for the vendor to make you whole. That is a HOME DEPOT problem, not a customer issue. I will NOT be paying for new Quarter Round, and I will contest any such charges should they go through. Home Depot is responsible for correcting this issue and it needs to be dealt with immediately. If you think that I should be culpable for a mistake by the vendor you work with, you are sadly mistaken. I will be writing a google review of this experience, including the multi-million dollar corporation's expectation that a customer should double pay for materials that still have not been delivered. I am also expecting somebody from Home Depot or your vendors to come collect the INCORRECT material that has been delivered. And a refund of the several boxes of unused material that was ordered and paid for, as well as the unpainted 60 feet of plain quarter round that was entirely unnecessary and that I paid for with absolutely no purpose. In the meantime, I am living in a space where all my belongings are piled in random places during the holiday season because of the incompetence of the vendors here. I can't put my furniture or belongings back into place because they will all have to be moved again to install the missing quarter round. This is absolutely absurd. I expect an URGENT resolution as I have called multiple times this week only to not have anyone call me back. I have spoken to several flooring reps, left a voicemail for you on Wednesday, and the installation team talked to Josh when this was first identified on Monday morning. Why I am STILL not assured that there is work being done to rectify this is an absolute mystery to me.
Seems as though there is a severe staffing challenge at this location and maybe it's a national issue. I like to chat. I like and need tools. I spoke with a young man working there, was technically in the paint dept, but helped me unlock at dewalt took....spoke to him for 10-15 min...he elaborated on the staffing challenge for me. My heart went out to his dedication.... Give the employees some slack there, it's upper mgmt, not the employees that are the problem.
Horrible and unorganized. Pallets and product left all over the aisles, employees rude and generally unknowledgeable when asked about products. Customer service center takes HOURS to receive an item that was marked "ready for pickup". Outrageous prices that aren't justified by quality of product or service. If there was anywhere else we could go to purchase these products we would never come back to this Home Depot again. I don't usually write reviews but this terrible experience necessitated a public warning. Please for your sake, find anywhere else to take your business.
