I purchased a 2000 square foot cabin and hired Gristmill to renovate it and to turn a carpentry and design studio into a guest house in Hyde Park Vermont. I chose Gristmill as I was new to vermont and every building or home I admired when I asked who built it I was told Gristmill Builders. After I consulted with a designer as to what I wanted and discovered the cost of making that happen the owner of Gristmill informed me that I would never be able to get my money out of the house if and when I were to sell it. He suggested I purchase a home that met my needs elsewhere or let him build me a home where I would be able to do so. I have never had a contractor be so honest...read full review
