Our 2 year old shorthair pointer loves going to visit river road. She wags her tail on the way in every time, and looks very happy and well taken care of when we pick her up. Highly recommend this spot for all your pet boarding needs.

I've been bringing Bear, our skiddish rescue Chocolate Lab, to Barry and Kathy for about 4 years. Although he's reluctant to go to places outside of our home, he loves it at River Road Kennels. He always comes home happy and healthy. Very nice people and caregivers!

I boarded my poodle while I was staying with friends in Putney for the week. I checked River Road's reviews and made a reservation. The facilities were clean, well-lit, and about as odor free as a kennel can be. When I returned to get my dog she was as happy and energetic as could be. FYI: The owners want your dog to be leashed. I told one of the owners that I had a wireless leash but that information did not get to the co-owner. Also, to the south is another field. My poodle chased after a few birds. Later, the co-owner said I should not have done that (private property) but I saw no signs; my Putney friends said that if POSTED signs do not include trespassing,... read full review
