We booked a last minute stay at the resort for a short trip into the area. Our time here was limited, which made the early pool hours a bummer on a hot summer evening. Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be such a great place to go to. They certainly don't have any QC for room cleaning. My entire room had cobwebs in the corner, which is the first time I've ever seen that in any hotel. The baseboards are nasty AF. You're paying a premium to get above par service however, you end up getting Motel 6 quality cleanliness. Customer service, food quality, cleanliness. I've gone out the window since I stayed there Pre-pandemic.

Another great stay! My fiancé and I came here for a weekend away, and I can't wait to come back! I'm always excited to stay at The Essex. Between an amazing dinner reservation at Junction, couples massages at the Spa, lots of time in the pool, and a visit to the tavern for an amazing breakfast makes our stay worth it every time.
