We are in the process of buying a house in Southern Vermont and our agent recommended Green Mountain Home & Property Inspections for our home inspection. From our first call to discuss details of the inspection and availability, Emily was incredibly helpful. When we asked her details of what Paul would be able to inspect (ex. radon mitigation system), she was very honest about the things she knew and the things she needed to verify with Paul. For any of these items, she got back to us within a couple hours with the needed details. Since they're open 9 AM to 9 PM most days, we were able to get our inspection booked for late the following week on the same day we first reached out! Their responsiveness continued throughout the process, from confirming the inspection the day prior, to providing test results promptly. For the inspection itself, we felt like our inspection could not have been in better hands than it was with Paul. Throughout the process he was extremely thorough and helpful in explaining what he was seeing and what he had concerns about. The best part was, it was clear how much Paul really cares about what he does and the people he works with. When we first met him that morning, he told us he was "going to inspect the house like his own daughter" was buying it. Toward the end of the day, he told us we were now "part of the family" and encouraged us to reach out at any time with questions or if we wanted him to inspect anything in the future - and we plan to! If you're trying to figure out who should be conducting your property inspection, Green Mountain is it. From the start, Emily was extremely kind, helpful, and fast to get us scheduled before we were set to close on our house. Paul was already at the property waiting for us and piloting a drone around to be able to see absolutely everything, which was the first sign of just how thoroughly Green Mountain's inspections are conducted. We spent hours combing over every square inch of the house, garage, and grounds outside with Paul, who shared everything with us as we walked. It's very clear to us that Paul and Emily take extreme pride in both the quality of the work they do as well as making every client feel as though they are family. They were professional, punctual, and clearly communicated with us during every step of the process. Emily worked with us to schedule the inspection on a tight timeline due to factors we could not control. Paul carried out a thorough and complete inspection, walking us through the entire house and noting any potential issues. It was unrushed, and he answered all our questions in detail whether it had to due minor repairs or upgrades we would like to make in the future. We also received the inspection report within three days. In the report, Paul reviewed all major findings with us.
