Worth the money and wait. It took a few months between getting someone to look at the huge old oak tree we needed removing, getting an estimate, and getting the work done, but they did a brilliant job and found a way to lower the cost of the replacement tree (slightly smaller but wonderful). They did additional cleanup work along the side of the house as part of the estimate and accidently clipped an air-conditioning line; and then was here long after dark repairing the damage. Cleanup, reseeding of the grass where they worked to mill down the stump all looks great. We've depended on Mitchell for a number of projects, and I take the patience required to get them out...read full review

We give Mitchell Tree Service five stars out of five for tree removal. They did a fantastic job and we recommend them highly and will gladly use them again We recently needed a tree service to take down a 40+ year old white oak tree that was dying. The tree was located in the middle of our garden patch in our fenced-in back yard. We needed to hire a tree service that would be able to remove the tree without killing a dogwood tree at its base and without destroying our flower garden. We contacted Mitchell Tree Service because we had used them before to remove another oak tree that had fallen in a storm. Pete Reynolds came by to take a look at the job and provide estimates. He gave us estimates for cutting the tree down and leaving the wood, cutting the tree down and taking the wood and cutting the tree down, taking the wood and grinding down the stump. He assured us that they would be able to do the job with minimal damage to the surrounding tree and flowers. The estimates provided were very reasonable for the job at hand and we hired Mitchell Tree Service to cut down and remove the tree and grind the stump. On the date they were to do the job, I received and email to let us know they were on the way. My wife and I had something come up and were not going to be able to be there when the crew arrived. I contacted them to let them know and we arranged to have the gate open and to let them go ahead and begin the job when they got there. I returned home in about an hour and was surprised to find that the crew had already taken down all of the branches and ground them up and that they were already working on the tree trunk. They had laid down plywood sheets to protect our yard and were using heavy duty, specialized equipment that fit perfectly through our picket fence gate to remove the large 4 to 5 foot long trunk sections. The machine had tank type treads and with a special claw was able to pick up the trunk pieces and lift them over the fence while passing through our gate. After the trunk was removed, they used a large motorized grinder on wheels to grind down the tree stump. As promised, they were able to do the job without damaging the dogwood or other plants in our yard and garden. Once the tree was gone and the stump was ground, the crews did a magnificent job of cleaning up by raking and blowing sawdust and other debris out of the grass as well as blowing sawdust off of the foliage of the dogwood, our oak leaf Hydrangea and off of our flowers and other garden plants. The plywood sheets did a great job in protecting the grass against possible damage from the heavy machinery. The crew was very professional, friendly and really knew what they were doing. Mitchell tree service did a fantastic job and we recommend them highly.

Mitchel's has serviced out trees a number of times. Crow reduction, pruning, cable, and storm damage. They are knowledgeable and expert. I particularly appreciate the crew's attention to preventing any damage to my property.
