I purchased a FULL HVAC install and they forgot to hook up some wires that would allow the system to work. I called them to come finish the install so the system would work probably and they want to charge me an additional $300+ to basically finish the install properly which I had already paid for. They sent a service guy and he said he had to charge me $96 for the visit and if I wanted him to hook up the wires that should have already been hooked up during the install, then that would call me an additional $300+. If I could give a negative stars rating I would. I was put in touch with SHIP inc through my home warranty. When I finally received a phone call from this contractor I was given a week out appointment. Somewhat understandable since this is the summer and A/C units typically have problems. Day of appointment I receive a phone call stating that the technician assigned to my route has a family emergency and that they have to cancel all of his appointments and there is no one to cover his route. Understandable again but at the same time I am still without A/C. Get scheduled a week and a day out. Next appointment 2 technicians arrive, one was clearly new to his job and totally unnecessary as he was just there as a placeholder. The older technician was chastising him throughout the appointment constantly. He lets me know that my unit was "un-accessible" without providing me any further information on how I could make it accessible in order for him to do the job he was hired to do. I called Sears to get another technician because I fixed that problem and there was no other. I wait another week and a day for another appointment and he calls me to ask about the weather and notify me that he was on his way. He goes to my backyard and fiddles with the A/C then tells me that he has to order a part. My potential next appointment is in 12 more days. This was put in as an emergency. I started the process on June 8th. Still have guarantee that it will be complete until July 14th. This is unacceptable with a newborn in the house and outside temperatures reaching 100+. I will not be hiring from this company anymore. Unreliable, unhelpful, and horrible service department.
