I have been learning with Rick Hockman Dance since 2007. He is a fabulous teacher - with the uncanny ability to coach anyone to dance with confidence. His style is not only socially motivated, but he wants you to understand each step and be able to dance in any situation - from the office party, your cousin's wedding, or out on the town. It's just plain fun! And, it feels good to dance.

His style is designed to assist dancers of all levels in developing their abilities and techniques. If you want to be a social dancer, this is the studio for you. We are a great group of people who love to dance and have fun! Consistent quality instruction, combined with a friendly upbeat learning environment have made his lessons popular among dancers throughout Hampton Roads. Even self-proclaimed "I can't dance" students have had great success in Rick's classes.
