I went into Bay Beach for an emergency visit last month. My senior dog was having another seizure, it was time to let him rest. I had struggled with this decision for months and here it was. I called ahead to let them know what we needed. It was total fog walking in, way more people than I anticipated were there on a Sunday night at 10pm. I was absolutely overwhelmed. Megan rescued me right away, I didn't even have to say a word. She met me at the door, verified my pups name and gently led us into a room. She was so kind and caring. I could feel the concern like a blanket around me. She was an angel through one of the hardest moments of my life. I will not forget that...read full review
The staff and services at Beach Bay vet were essential in saving my dog's life. Last week she suffered a gunshot wound out at our mountain house (not in Va Beach) -we think from a hunter. After being stabilized in Christiansburg Virginia for a few days we brought her home. The next day she collapsed - she was hemorrhaging into her lungs. I frantically drove her to Beach Bay. I must have looked like a crazed woman, bringing my dog in screaming that she's been shot and was dying. I didn't have my phone or wallet on me- I ran out of the house without them. They quickly got her back and started triaging her. They were able to stabilize her and get enough blood off of her lungs so we could safely transport her to Richmond, where surgeons were available if needed. They facilitated the entire transfer - By the time we arrived in Richmond, they were ready for us. Our puppy survived and is doing well. I am so gracious for all of them - from the front desk to the vet techs to the doctors. I'm a (human ) physician myself so I came into the clinic pretty stressed about the gravity of the situation. I am thankful for the quality and expedited timing of the care we received. Cannot recommend them enough. Thank you. Thank you! Cyndi T (and her pup Coco)
They took my bird in despite being heavily occupied and saw him as an emergency and prescribed medication and antiobitoics for his gash. Thankfully, he got better with their help and was able to take him back home that same day. I appreciate everything you do for us and our fur babies !! I would recommend this over pet care veterinary Hospital for sure!
