I didn't want to make this post but today my 5 year old son and I had an unfortunate experience with the older barber. In the past, he's been very grumpy and impatient but I let it pass because my son is autistic with sensory issues and haircuts are a nightmare. The lady is very nice and patient with my son who panics at the beginning of every haircut. Today, the older man was going to cut his hair but my son started to panic and stepped off the chair. The man went up to him and took off the robe thing. After my son pleaded to me "I don't want to cut my hair", the man told my son" well i don't want to cut your hair". He then told me that I shouldn't make him get a haircut if he can't handle it. I explained that I can't help it if he is like this and neither can my son but just like every other kid, he needs haircuts and that this man has zero patience. Thankfully the lady was able to cut my sons hair and with encouragement and some modifications, my son got through the haircut without any tears.

My kids and I go to see Joe here at D & L. He is super nice, asks my young men what they want, and verified it with Mom or Dad. One thumbs up and off he goes. Sometimes we have another stylist like Alex but we really prefer Joe. They used to look at a book and point but after 6 years have settled into what they like. The kids are happy, their hair looks good, and he gives them a lollipop or a quarter for the vending machine. No you know why they are in business and Hair Cuttery next door closed. It's an amazing place with a team who cares about your kids and their appearance.

Easily the best group of barbers in Loudoun County. Before they opened a few years ago, I went to 3 or 4 other places. D and L is the best in Northern VA. I also recommended D and L to several guys from work and now they only get their haircut here. 5 Stars!Service: Haircut
