“Had a 9 am appointment for an annual wellness exam. Arrived early. Front office was friendly and welcoming. I was called back on time, and the nurse who did the initial exam was lovely and I enjoyed talking to her.

The CNM was running behind about 20 minutes, but the nurse informed me, so I wasn’t left wondering. When Sue Mersch did come in, she was friendly and direct. She answered my questions and worries concerning my endometriosis, which was helpful and eased my mind.

She made the exam painless and asked for my comfort on all steps. She also adjusted the speculum size when the initial one caused discomfort. Because of this, it was easily both the easiest and the best checkup I’ve had for this area in years (and that’s saying something because what woman doesn’t dread these appointments?).“

“Janice Emery is great at what she does. With all the horror stories I've heard from friends I was blessed to have Dr Emery. She has been very kind, answers my questions and knows exactly what she's doing. She has a calming bedside manner. She is well known at fairfax hospital and has been doing this for years. I really appreciated that she wanted what was best for me and the baby and didn't push for an unnecessary c section like I've heard some doctors do. I feel like she knows what pregnant women go thru and she is very comforting.“

“I want to start by saying that coming here to get an abortion was not what we wanted but my baby had a life threatening condition and we decided this was the best decision.This has been the hardest and saddest decision I have ever taken because we really wanted this baby.The staff in the clinic treated me and my sister, who accompanied me while my husband stayed back with our other children back in Florida, with a lot of respect and understanding. My nurse was Jenny, who discussed everything and was extremely knowledgeable, the doctor who treated me was Dr.B and my doula was Heather who was the sweetest most patient person. The procedure was painless and pretty fast. But what was most important for me is that they let me see and hold my baby for the last time which meant a lot to me. They also gave me his hands and foot prints and gifted me a little hat he was wearing when they presented him to me.All I can say about my experience is that they made is as easy going as they could and I will always be grateful for that.For anyone else going through something like this I wish you the best, and I’m sorry you’re in this situation but know unfortunately, it happens, you’re not alone.Thank you, Heather, Jenny and Dr. B; I’ll never forget how well I was treated by you.“

“I absolutely LOVE Dr. Porter. I have been going to her for years. She was referred to me by my primary care physician. Well, more like the nurses at my PCF's office. She insisted that Dr. Porter was one of the great ones and I am so glad I listened! Dr. Porter has been there through all of my OBGYN struggles and finally, she was there to deliver my baby. She is incredibly caring and I trust her completely. She made my biggest worries feel like great opportunities and she is so laid back. She's funny and honest. When I had to induce my baby because he was overdue, she was there to deliver him. I had to have a C-Section because he was in the breech position, but Dr. Porter assured me everything will be ok. She was wonderful. Her comments during the operation made me laugh and gave me a great "birthing story". Now that I am pregnant again, I was initially worried but she eased all of my worries and turned them into excitement. She has always been able to calm me down. I honestly cannot express enough how great she is. She is so real and down to earth and that's almost impossible to find in a doctor nowadays. I send all of my friends and family members to her (if insurance will allow). She's that amazing.“

“My new patient appointment was very pleasant. Dr. A made me feel comfortable and was eager to help with problems I was having where my previous gynecologist seemed to ignore. The only issue was at check in where I would not be seen until my insurance could be verified. I was told the insurance’s system was down and I would need to wait or reschedule my appointment. I offered to just pay out of pocket but she told me they would not accept that. Typically, doctors’ offices just tell me they will bill my insurance and send me a bill, but that was not as option either. So I called my insurance company myself while in the waiting room and got verification immediately. Otherwise, Dr. A was great. ?“

Also, the newest physician, Dr. Presti, is such a wonderful addition to the practice and took the time to calm my fears regarding my upcoming C-section.
