“I'm going to have to buck the trend and render an excellent review of my experience with Pharma-quip based on my recent CPAP renewal and customer support. I suffer from both obstructive sleep apnea and gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD). My six-year-old CPAP required replacement under insurance. While it seemed like an eternity, it only took JHM/Pharma-quip about three and a half weeks to process my CPAP replacement order from my pulmonologist until delivery at my home (the initial CPAP order in 2018 took six weeks). The replacement machine was correctly set up and they handled matters with my insurance competently.

Of particular note was customer support provided by 'Vaughan' (sp?). I called Pharma-quip support because of bewilderment regarding why I was getting a mysterious leak rate error, even with a new machine, hoses, mask (nasal pillows) and so on. My "MyAir" sleep scores were not good because of the leak. Vaughan responded, "I know exactly what the problem is and how to fix it." She pointed to the problem being that unknowingly, I was breathing through my mouth while asleep (this is a side effect of OSA/CPAP use and GERD called "aerophagia"). She sent me a simple chin strap which applies minor pressure to keep my trap shut; it immediately had positive effect, and currently the MyAir score has risen from 79 to 96. Thank you Vaughan!

Pharma-quip isn't perfect, but I've never had a problem with them insofar as equipment, resupply, tracking my insurance and most recently, excellent insight insofar as my particular condition and interaction with therapy equipment.“

“Nurse Emma and Physical Therapist Colin are amazing. They helped me with my transition from hospital to home after CABG surgery. I was very disabled for the first two weeks. However, the office did not send Occupational Therapy or an aide to assist me with personal care in a timely manner. No one called or scheduled the OT or the aide during the first 2 weeks of being home from hospital. Finally told Colin to cancel OT and Aide as their services were no longer needed. I desperately needed their help when I was first home not 2 weeks later. This was a scheduling issue with the office not following through. The services I did receive were excellent.“

“Dr Cassis is like no chiropractor I have ever met and his work is on a whole other level. “It is VERY hard to get hold of a center/office within this huge facility by phone. I've been trying to get hold of the Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery center for days using the phone number posted on their web site to no avail. I can get a human (in Physician Referral ???) or Scheduling but when they transfer me to I get a busy signal or the line goes dead. Tried calling corporate number. They just transferred me to Patient Services where I left vmail (no call back yet after 1 hr). Also, when I get a human in Scheduling, they ask for my birthday, phone nr, address every time I call even tho I'm in the system. Aarrrgghh! Update: Got a call from Pt. Services who will have someone from Oral Surg. contact me. She said they get 1000s of calls per day and that they only contact pt. When they're ready to make appt. Update 2: A Dr. From oral Surg. Ctr just called me in response to email I sent and advised of cause of delay (getting ins. Auth). Thank u Dr C.!!“
