she is the worst nightmare. She removed my wisdom tooth even thought she is not supposed to as she is not an Oral Dentist surgeon. She did it only with local anesthesia, cause a nerve damage and now I have to struggle wit that for the rest of my life. She ruined my confident she only did it because she wanted to collect insurance money, where she claimed extra work that she never did. This happened back in 2017, the old me didn't know much about medical field, now after 5 years I am working on file a law suit against her for damaging my nerve. STAY AWAY FROM HER.
I've been going here for 10 years. Dr. Lu is very sweet and patient with me because I didn't really take good care of my teeth. She's done several root canals and fillings for me. Her assistants are always very sweet and she's really good at making sure your mouth is completely numb before starting anything.
Date of Occurrence: 3/25/2020 I entered Dr. Lu's office on 3/5/2020. I had been experience tooth discomfort the past two days. I reached out to them in search of an Emergency dentist My own dentist was closed and reached out to her office for emergency help before Virginia decided to go into lockdown. Facing many uncertainties like many people I wanted to get my tooth looked at prior this. Because who wants to be in lockdown with an infected tooth? She seemed friendly enough and asked me if I was in pain. I said yes. Her tech took me back for X-Rays. Her tech/assistant seemed to be highly uncomfortable the entire time. I sat in the chair. Dr. Lu came and gave her assessment of my teeth. At first I was relieved to know that I would be getting the help I needed! After looking at my teeth, she states everything that's wrong and which teeth. Great. Okay were in business Then she says, "Well your mouth is very dirty. There's no point in cleaning your mouth because its so dirty and full of bacteria." I reply, "Okay, so how can you help me?" (At this point I'm waiting for the plan of action of how she can actually help me....) She replies, "Well, you need a deep cleaning your mouth is too dirty to work on." Now I'm thinking to myself okay where is this going? I'm in a lot of pain, I came to get help, so basically your telling me, you can't do your job... After another round of telling me that my mouth is "full of bacteria" I decided I've had enough. I get up and leave. There was no offer for antibiotics, pain killer, or even where to do get a deep cleaning. I was so upset I cried in my car. It's very hard for me to make time to get to the dentist as I'm a teacher at the Del Ray Montessori School. We were short staffed for the past few months so personal appointments were not available with my regular dentist on the weekends when I'm free. I am shocked that Dr. Lu has a professional license or any professional standing with the ADA. Her bedside manner was deplorable, tactless, and insensitive. Save your money and seriously don't come here.
