I am writing this review because I am a firm believer that when a business goes above and beyond what is required in their duties, then it needs to be made known to the public. Oris P. Jones Funeral Establishment in South Hill, Virginia is one of those businesses. On Saturday, April 23, 2022, this funeral home handled the services for my late father, Herbert Hoover Evans. The funeral service and care for my South Hill deceased relatives have been lovely. However, with this last experience, we are still waiting to acquire the Military Headstone my brother-in-law should have received pre-COVID (October 2019). Furthermore, to add insult to injury, Mary nor the affiliates of Oris P Funeral Home will return my calls or attempt to resolve this matter even though I have discussed it with them. Very upsetting. It's terrible enough Peter Baskerville died alone. I commend Mary and the staff for handling such a horrific experience with grace, but there is still no proper closure for him or our immediate family who lives out of town—still waiting.
