Didn't do anything there except drop off my grandson for fishing camp. I'll update later after interacting with the camp staff.Update: My grandson had a wonderful time there. He was there for fishing camp and he loved it. I had minimal interaction with the staff but they seemed very nice and interested in ensuring the campers had a positive camp experience. Thanks guys, he's still talking about all the salamanders that they caught. Looking forward to next year.

I attended an event there. We rented a picnic shelter in top of a wooded hill. The location was absolutely gorgeous! The shelter blended in with the trees and was roomy. The view was peaceful, overlooking the grounds and the lake and beach area. It appears to be rustic with plenty of outdoors activities available. I can imagine families would love this hidden gem, tucked away in plain site off 81! There are kayaks, floats, badminton/tennis courts, swings, a sandbox, outdoor grills and plenty of lawn chairs! I wish I'd had more time to spend there.

My 1st time there and it was nice and relaxing. Not crowded, clean outdoor getaway right in Roanoke. My son loved the diving boards and catching salamanders. We also enjoyed a short paddle around on kyaks. I hope to check out the trails some time.
