We hired J&K Construction to build a work shop for our farm. The concrete slab was framed up without the footer being prepped. In the contract it says that the footer would be to building code, and my husband had a heated discussion about there not being a footer prepared for the concrete and it was explained to my husband that the 4” was enough to support the weight of the steel building. We were convinced by James that this 4” was sufficient. Being a farm building, no permit is needed, so there would be no inspection.
