We are currently under Dr. Toops care with our cat. A few weeks ago we brought our cat, Amber, in for unexplained ear pain. It only hurts if you touch her left ear. The ear itself is clear, her mouth looks normal at every aspect. So we decided to go see a specialist...not even knowing what type of specialist we needed. Our vet, Dr. Zuccaro ❤️, suggest we go to Veterinary Dermatology of Richmond. We brought her in and were so relieved to be greeted by and cared for by such compassionate and friendly people. Dr. Toops came in and spoke to us giving us possible scenarios, reassuring us that an answer would be found. They took our baby back having to sedate her lightly to try to look in the ear but was unsuccessful. Amber was in too much pain for them to look at it. She has given us a few things to do...antibiotics was our last Hail Mary before an MRI. Being it was during the holidays and nothing else was going to happen we agreed. Unfortunately as expected it did nothing to improve her problem. We go Monday for the MRI and hopefully will get answers. They have been in contact setting all of this up and always reassuring and patient! It is tough watching your baby hurt and you can’t help them!
Awesome place! Everyone is very nice and caring, from the front staff to the assistants/technicians and the veterinarian. Would recommend them to everyone. Thank you all so much for caring for my little guy Guiseppi. I look forward to bringing him back in 6 weeks feeling better.
