I've used Bill and Ellen for over 10 years and have always been VERY happy with them. They always seem to have the time to answer my questions by email, phone or in person. Their work seems is thorough and they keep track of the things that I forget to.

Let me preface this by saying that I was a client of Pilc & Moseley for several years until my family relocated to North Carolina in 2016. While they were always top notch and did a great job for me while I was in Richmond, it's a more recent interaction that's led me to write this review.My mom passed away in 2018. As executor of her small estate, I received awful counsel from a local accounting firm here in NC regarding tax planning for 2019. When it came time to prepare that return, I realized they had no idea how to properly file. Bill Pilc and his team are true professionals. You'll gain a sense of trust and confidence in their practice from the moment you begin working with them. If you are a small business or freelancer - regardless of your size - you need a CPA (maybe even more than a lawyer, depending on your line of work!). Their pricing is quite reasonable, and balanced out by the fact that they know the tax code and deductions you can take. Highly recommended.
