I want to start by saying that I am newly natural and I have a LOT (seriously, a LOT) of 4c hair. Because of the difficult nature of my hair, I rely heavily on stylists to help me look my best. I have been looking for a patient and experienced stylist to help me grow my natural hair out. Most of the stylists I've met have been great, but I haven't quite gotten that feeling that I could continue to go to them long term. After reading the reviews for Jevata's salon I decided to book with her. Her salon is clean and beautiful and she is very knowledgeable and kind. More importantly, she was patient and didn't get annoyed about how much hair I have. My hair takes forever to do so it is a special kind of person who can do my hair without rushing or getting annoyed. Jevata was very thorough, my hair looked great and I really look forward to going back to her salon!

They did a fantastic job on my updo for a wedding . It looked very dramatic, sculpted and elegant. It also lasted all night despite it being an outdoor ceremony and reception, and with hours of dancing! Even the next day it was in great shape. I highly recommend Canvas.

Sooooo, I was in dyer need of a trim as I am lazy when it comes to doing what I need to do to keep my hair healthy anyway, I came on Yelp to find some salons that specializes in natural hair and came across this shop. After reading the reviews I felt l wanted to give it a try. The reviews were great. I called in that day to see if I could walk in and Jevata was willing to take me, then I forgot I had another appt that day that conflicted with that so I called her back and let her know I couldn't make it. She then directed me to the website to book an appointment, which I did. I booked my appt for the following week and needless to say I was NOT dissapointed AT ALL. Upon entering the shop, I was greeted by Jevata and she was very accommodating as I had picked up breakfast on the way. We discussed my hair routine and what products I was using.... She gave advice on what to use going forward. My scalp was very dry and flaky and after my wash my scalp felt like a million bucks....lol oohhhh let me not forget I was sitting under the dryer and eating my breakfast sandwich and Jevata gave me a tray to sit my food on!! How could u not love that! Overall, I am more than pleased with my services, my stylist, the shop, and the customer service! I would highly recommend her!! My appt was at 9am and I was walking out at 1040am! Now I'm off to go swing my curls in the wind!!!
