I am so glad I checked Yelp first for this request. My husband had torn the zipper of his pants and I was just trying to find someone to replace the zipper of the pants. I remember coming here wayyyyyy back for one of my close friend's shoes and this was (and still is) the place to go! Mr. Kim was so sweet and helpful with my request. His wife is the seamstress and made the call to ask if she could replace the zipper, ask when I needed to get it done, and if I wanted to pay ahead of time. Super easy - about 10 mins top. $15 to replace the zipper and great work! My husband didn't need a quick turnaround so I went ahead and took the week wait. When it was time for me to pick it up, it was easy to give him my paid ticket and get the pants. Looks awesome and does the job. Plenty of parking and you can't miss the shop. It's more in the strip and def worth it. I will definitely be a returning customer here!
Fair price and work was satisfactory and what I asked for was done, nothing more nothing else. Shoe was a bit dirty and grimy from being worked on (replaced boot heel), wished more care was given to the boots and they were cleaned or freshened up after the work was done to at least remove the work debris.
The owner of the Best Shoe repair is the problem solver. He was a Chemical Engineer from South Korea, and earned his living by repairing others' shoes as a problem solver. He listens to his customers' problems and tells that he can solve any problem related to Shoes. I bought a pair of shoes little tight from Saxon Shoes, which was "final sale" with the hope that Best Shoe Repair will fit it to my feet and indeed he did. It was not done perfect for the first time, but I took it back and he gave me another chance without charging extra. I have a pair of Taos shoe, works great, but looks dirty even with plenty of washing. I will take it to him, he may have some special solution. I hope this industry remains alive in our society and people should not throw away their shoes wasting money and adding more trash in the environment.
