Dr. Vemuri was my initial doctor she was thorough and patient trying to find every alternative before surgery. A hysterectomy however, was inevitable. Dr. Kim became my doctor and surgeon. I cannot say enough good things about her, she is exceptional, a top notch surgeon. I finally feel like myself again. Thank you!“

14631 Lee Hwy STE 405, Centreville“Dr. Khan literally saved my baby’s life. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck twice, and he survived delivery because of her. I originally started my pregnancy with a different practice, but my insurance started objecting to paying the ultrasounds required for high risk pregnancies. The insurance company required a written statement from the doctors explaining why they needed the ultrasounds, and they refused to write this simple one sentence letter for me. So I switched to All-Female OBGYN, and Dr. Khan got me the letter the same day. I really liked that there’s hardly ever any wait times, and Dr. Khan is pleasant and friendly, and super efficient. My appointments were always done so quickly. Also, I really like nurse practitioner Sarah Cunningham, who can see me for the less important appointments—she’s also very nice, and helped me feel less guilt about my thyroid condition getting in the way of being able to exclusively breastfeed my baby. And I happen to think it’s cool that there a virtual receptionist! I feel very sci-fi when I check in and the receptionist is helping me virtually.“

I had quite the journey during my pregnancy and birth, with some ups and downs, but ultimately, stellar care was provided. My biggest piece of advice is to establish a relationship with Dr. Khan early on and continue being monitored by Sarah—Dr. Khan is the one who will be delivering your baby, and I wish I had known that sooner. By the time I started seeing her regularly, I initially felt a bit frustrated, but over time, I truly warmed up to her.
My pregnancy was a bit complex, as the Maternal-Fetal Associates strongly recommended an early induction due to concerns about my baby’s size. I opted against it, which led to frequent biweekly scans at MFM to monitor my baby’s growth. A heads-up—insurance does not cover the color flow Doppler portion of these scans, so expect to pay $20–$40 per appointment if additional monitoring is needed. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I was also going to Reston Hospital every other day to track my baby’s heart rate.
Eventually, I agreed on an induction date with Dr. Khan after going past my due date. We also scheduled a membrane sweep that morning. Coincidentally, I woke up in early labor, went in for the sweep, and continued preparing for my hospital admission. However, once I arrived at the hospital and got settled, my baby’s heart rate dropped, and I was rushed in for an emergency C-section. It turned out that she had aspirated meconium, which led to her spending nearly a month in the NICU.
Alhamdulilah, thanks to the phenomenal doctors and nurses, my baby is now a thriving, active 4-month-old. Since then, I’ve had follow-ups with both Dr. Khan and Sarah, and everything has been great.
Although things didn’t go as I originally planned, I’m grateful that my baby and I were in the right hands. That’s what truly matters in the end.
Would I recommend this practice? Yes. Just make sure you build rapport with Dr. Khan early on and advocate for yourself throughout the process.“

“My husband and I found Dr. Sharara after going through secondary infertility and experiencing two miscarriages. When we got to our first consultation, we were hopeful he could one day give us the gift of that second baby we were longing for, and we were instantly reassured about it. Dr. Sharara took the time to listen to and understand our fertility journey, and explained thoroughly what the next steps would look like for us. He was confident but also realistic about what the possible different scenarios could look like. He was extremely thorough, kind, and compassionate. After some tests and an unsuccessful IUI, we moved on to IVF. The process was stressful, but Dr. Sharara and his wonderful team of nurses and administrative staff made the whole thing so much better. They were always willing to lend a helping hand or a hug, and I was always greeted by name and with a smile when I walked into the clinic. Also, I never had to wait for more than 5 or 10 minutes to be seen, which says a lot about their commitment to patients. I never felt like a number at VRCM, and everybody was wonderfully supportive. I definitely shed a tear (or two) when I “graduated” from the clinic. I am now 36 weeks pregnant with my baby boy and so glad I chose VRCM to help my little family grow.“
