Randy at RMACS was able to research and do minimal troubleshooting and determine it was a probably a high failure component on the logic board. Randy shared a YouTube video with me that showed a micro-miniature repair tech troubleshooting a problem like mine on a MacBook. This help and recommendation was exactly what I needed. Randy took the time to talk with me multiple times and work on Easter weekend to find out what was wrong with my laptop, and provide alternatives for repair and cost/benefit analysis. This insight, combined with my intrinsic value of the MacBook helped me decide that it was not worth spending the small fortune to fix versus purchasing a new MacBook. These integrated motherboards with built in SSD and power supplies make any component failure very expensive. The Air and older MacBooks are made to be disposable, don’t plan on making repairs for less than $500 . Randy was professional, polite, caring and went out of his way to help me out overEaster weekend during this COVID 19 shutdown when Apple stores are closed and the only Apple support you can get is to mail in your computer and wait for a big bill.
