I don’t leave reviews often but I cannot emphasize what a wonderful experience this vet is. Wendy, at the front desk, is absolutely delightful and cares deeply for each animal that enters that place. The vet, Dr. Caldwell, is high energy, deeply knowledgeable, and “brings you along for the ride.” I’ve been dealing with a very sick rescue (my absolute baby) and they have handled each situation with practicality, expertise, and tender care. If you are thinking about joining this vet or switching… do it. Cannot recommend enough!

What a pleasure! I can't speak more highly of Hunter Mill Animal Hospital. Dr. Caldwell is a great vet and always very caring and attentive with my dog and the staff are always very friendly and easy to work with. She is intelligent, honest, straightforward and reasonably priced - a rare thing in NOVA. I've had pets my whole life and there seems to be a trend in the veterinary industry toward over diagnosing, over testing, over prescribing and just plain overselling. This is my first time at HunterMill animal hospital. My 5 yr old shitzu had diarrhea in his diaper as I was leaving the clinic, the staff Heather and John went beyond the call of duty and help me clean up the mess that my doggie made. So appreciate their kindness and willingness to help.
