“Working with Mervat and Ala with Fleur Beauty Studio for my wedding was an absolute pleasure! When I started planning, I really wanted to find a team who could offer both hair and makeup services. I found Fleur Beauty Studio via some of their beautiful wedding H&MU pictures on Instagram and was so thrilled to see that they offered all services, that their website was easy to navigate and had clear pricing for each service, and that they would also take care of my flower girl and a male friend getting ready with me (Men's grooming makeup service). I used their website to book a H&MU trial and received confirmation and instructions on what to bring for the service. My appointment at their studio space was wonderful! Both Mervat and Ala are so warm and friendly, and it was obvious they both have so much experience in their crafts. Mervat really took into account how I do my makeup and the kind of look I wanted to go for on my wedding day. Ala listened as I told her some of the characteristics of my hair (how it doesn't hold a curl...) and took all of that into consideration to ensure the style stayed. Both made me feel so beautiful and listened to exactly what I wanted. They both were open to some of my requests for slight changes after I went home and saw how everything looked, and they helped recommend some products and tips in preparation for the wedding day. On the big day, they were right on time and made my whole family and wedding party feel just as comfortable. They had prepared a timeline for H&MU for the whole crew, which was executed flawlessly and with plenty of time to spare. Everyone looked and FELT so beautiful and really loved their looks! My H&MU all stayed looking phenomenal throughout the entire wedding day, and I couldn't have been more pleased with how beautiful I looked and felt. “My wife used glam set go for her wedding day hair and makeup. Sonali was very responsive and Areyka was a Rockstar with a makeup brush. Only issue was we had a change of hair stylist literally 24 hours before the wedding because Rita's skills were needed elsewhere. Though Victoria (the replacement) was great, the hair wasn't the same as the trial as a result. “I used to go to the Fairfax and Vienna Hair Cuttery locations before this, but after a series of botched hair cuts from those locations, I started coming to Deena from Oakton about 10 years ago, and I come in every 3 months. I struggle a lot with dandruff and frizz, but Deena works patiently to add the deep-conditioning treatment to my hair, and provides recommendations on hair care at home, including Miracle 10 and Cibu. Unlike some of my previous stylists who just wanted to get the job done, Deena really cares about the health of your hair, and has suggested types of cuts to address the damage in my hair, while maintaining my preferred aesthetic for keeping my hair long at the front. Unlike the other stylists I went to before this, my haircut has been to maintain its style for days, or even weeks, and my hair health has gotten a lot better since coming here. Just be sure to book an appointment in advance as Deena does get really busy due to her popularity.I've been coming here for 10 years now, so I definitely would refer Deena to anyone looking to get a haircut, especially if your hairy is like mine and a bit on the wavy side.“
