She is very professional, the place is clean and it’s only you and her . If you don’t like crowded salons then this is the place for you. If you want to sleep while your lashes are being done then this is the place. Very relaxing . I fell asleep on several occasions. I hear ppl saying how painful their experience was at other salons. I’ve never experienced that?

I've gone for highlights, cut + blow dry, and I've gone to get my hair dyed purple before. I've also brought my mom here - we both have thick hair, but she has super curly hair and I have super straight hair - and she leaves just as satisfied as I do.
I've lived in multiple different cities within Hampton Roads and now I live close to Ahoskie, NC, but I plan to STILL make the drive. I would drive to this salon if it were 3 hours away and I promise I'm not exaggerating.
I've never left disappointed, and I always leave with what I ask for versus other salons that ususally give me what I don't ask for.

My first time going to Shai's By The Bay. I love my haircut! Shai listened to what i wanted looked at photos I pulled up, and then cut my hair exactly how I wanted. Had a good 7 inches off in length and then lots of layers and they are even and seemless. It takes a minute to get a appointment but well worth the wait. The atmosphere of the shop is warm relaxing, just a good vibe.

If you have natural hair go to this salon!!!! I received the “first time client” package and it was amazing… my hair was a little damaged but after the steam, protein, and scalp treatments to include a color and trim my hair looked fabulous! My hair looks like I could go do a video shoot good!

He takes an actual interest in your overall hair and scalp health, and is very honest. This is why before any other appointment this salon requires a consultation ( for first time clients only ). I've been here twice since living here. The first was a color correction done by Freya, it went wonderfully, she fixed my hair. Managed to get it back to my normal hair color in one session. Recently I went and had a haircut with full color. Elizabeth was my hairdresser and she was a delight. I don't normally get my hair done but now anytime I need to go I'll be heading here. Everyone is so sweet and accommodating. I absolutely love my hair now, she got the color perfect and the haircut is spot on. The price wasn't too bad either! I'm thinking of having more stuff done because my first experience went so well. Everyone needs to come here!

Moved to the area and needed a new barber for my son. He is bi-racial (cuban/white/black/japanese) so I was weary where to go and did alot of research. Saw they had walk-ins but decided to schedule an appointment with Adam to be safe and I'm glad I did. My son is 6 years old and for the first time I think a barber FINALLY got the cut I was looking for. No words can describe how happy I am. I highly recommend Adam and will be requesting him in the future

At my appointment Ray spent time with me to understand how I take care of my hair and what styles I like. Ray did a great job cutting my hair all the while having a great conversation. Absolute BEST eyebrow service I've EVER had. I've NEVER allowed anyone to wax my eyebrows more than once because I'd always immediately notice they weren't done right. Viktoriya is not only the owner but the main nail tech in her salon that she's had open for over 12 years in downtown Norfolk. She generously offers bottled water and makes sure you're comfortable before she begins. She has an abundance of OPI colors to choose from as well. Highly recommend!

I found this place on google. It was my first time there. I was serviced by kelly, who did a great job overall. She made a little boo boo on my thumb with the clear polish, and I didn't notice it until later. The place was clean and it was not busy at all for a friday. Both services cost $84, not including tips. 4 star because she was bothered by my questions/ requests. I like making my request known because I don't like to walk away unhappy. But they like to take it personal.

The wife and husband that work here are very sweet and caring. I got my prom nails here and they look absolutely beautiful, exactly what the picture looked like. Yesterday I had a lovely experience shopping at Sephora on Monticello Ave in Norfolk, VA. I had to make a return and found some awesome finds. The customer service was great and I always so helpful. This visit I purchased some new Sol De Janeiro Limited Edition Summer Scents. I was blown away from the new scents and couldn't decide which one to buy, so I bought all free. These scents were just released yesterday and weren't gonna last long. I'm so glad I scored these summer scents.

Ella gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a while. She was friendly, patient, and clear about her plan and reasons for it. Other staff members were not quite as focused on customers and were huddled together at the reception area all three times I was there during my visit, but they weren’t too grumpy when I interrupted them to complete my transactions.
I'm very skeptical whenever I go to new nail salon when I go into a new town, I followed the reviews and this place definitely didn't disappoint. I love the atmosphere. The music was super soothing and I called and made an appointment two hours ahead of time just to make sure that I was seen today and they were able to get me in immediately. All great service and they weren't rough on my feet at all. I wear work boots Monday through Friday and it's been a very long time since I found a salon that can get my heels smooth on the first day . My Heels haven't felt this soft in a very long time. I will be back

An LGBT+ friendly and employed tattoo business with very helpful folks! Ren got to be the artist behind my very first tattoo, and he was very accomodating when I ran half an hour late for my appointment. The way he blocks out tattoo appointments ensures that there's no rush (I originally planned to be there for 6 hours; the tattoo only took two!).

Stylist: Ren did an amazing job; he was informative in telling me what to look out for during my tattoo, and when I vocalized symptoms, he explained that they were normal and why they happened (i.e.; I started shaking despite not experiencing anxiety. He explained it was adrenaline!).
So the work Dom does is stellar. His attention to detail is amazing. He books up fast so make an appointment. Walk ins are next to impossible. The studio is peaceful and super cool with a ton of art throughout the entire place. Dom took a simple idea and turned it to a beautiful reality. Also a word to the wise, look closely at the one star review on here. It applies to one artist and one appointment and the guy says her art is excellent...is that really a one star?

My first experience here! The owner was extremely polite on the phone and managed to squeeze me in even though they were about to close, which was greatly appreciated. I was honestly surprised at how fast he created the extra key, it was literally about 30 seconds. I tried Walmart before coming here but the machine was extremely slow, could only take exact change, and the credit card machine was down. Additionally, Walmart charges about $6 for a key while this place only charges $2 for house keys. I would 100000% recommend coming here before going anywhere else!! Thank you again!

I hired Mr. Harris to take out a row of hollies and plant another shrub there. He showed up when he said he would - and he had bought some metal edging I asked him to pick up. There were 8 to 10 hollies in front of our house - maybe about 2 to 3 feet high - he got them all up and tilled in some compost and perlite I had bought. I bought the replacement shrubs too - but he planted them and put down mulch afterwards. All done in about half the day. The front bed looks nice. I found Mr. Harris to be a very polite young man - he had a coworker with him - he was just as nice and polite too. I would hire Mr. Harris again

Beyond that, the staff are very friendly to the point where you can make conversation with them and they will actually listen to you and talk to you like you're a human being. Believe it or not, that's rare in today's society. Booking an appointment and being seen yesterday was an amazing experience with such great people manning the front office of this clinic! 2. Knowledgeable Chiropractor. Being seen by Dr. Ryan was the best chiropractic experience! He's very methodical! He pinpointed and went to work on the exact issue I was experiencing by (1) asking me a collection of questions involving the how, what, when, and where of the pain I've been feeling. And (2) from there he evaluated me by having me do a plethora of motions and rate the pain level on each. (3) From there I got to lie on this amazing roller bed that was literally an automated, high quality back massager (felt so amazing!). (4) Lastly, Dr. Ryan gave me an adjustment efficiently and effectively suited to my situation. (5) Dr Ryan explained the applicable clinical factors of what I'm experiencing and why and gave me advisory on how to get the best recovery. He finished our discussion with a roadmap of how consistently he would like to see me and for how long. The amazing staff helped me book my next appointment. Pricing was reasonable and affordable considering the top-tier services and advisory I received. Very professional, clean, and effective clinic. Highly recommend. Would give 6 stars if I could!
Even though Dr. Logan is the only civilian chiropractor I have seen in Hampton roads, she is the only chiropractor I will let touch my body in Hampton Roads. Dr. Logan’s expertise, bedside manner and attentiveness are just some of the few things that can make you feel like you are the only patient in her office, even when she’s juggling several patients at a time. We have been talking our digs here since day one after researching local vets. Available to milliary, this vet is great to deal with. The cost is lower than vets in town, and they take our USAA pet insurance. The staff are easy to deal with and are willing to work with you if you can't exactly meet the appointment time. Lab results that weren't required to be sent to another facility came back 2 hours after they were collected, which was amazing.
I have taken our Maltese here several times and they are great! Our little dog likes them, they’re very friendly, and do a wonderful job. Last time I requested a custom cut and they nailed it! If only they could cut human hair, too…
Brought both our pups here, the groomer did an amazing job! We have 2 pups, our beagle hound is easy to bathe and trim nails. Our husky pit mix is stubborn with nails and blow dryer, but they still got him dry! I will gladly schedule on a month basis! They answered any and all questions we had, they are super nice here as well.
