About a year ago, I began seeing Dr Swenson for my right shoulder and knees. We tried cortisone shots in both but my shoulder pain persisted. Dr Swanson wanted to get an MRI of it but I reminded him I have an SCS (Spinal Cord Stimulator -- from 2012), which is not MRI-safe. He said he'd refer me to Dr. Aldridge to have it removed. I saw Dr Aldridge and was talked into the wrong procedure, under false pretenses. The guy is an absolute idiot :( But, i digress...and you can go read the review I left specifically for him. When I requested my records from HROSM, the reason for my visit to Dr. Aldridge was changed to "back pain", though I was specifically referred to him for SCS removal. My SCS is NOT for back pain. It covers an area from just below my hips to my toes, depending on the intensity. I do have back pain, predominantly at L3-4 and in my SI below where it's fused. But he worst of it is the constant nerve pain in my legs. If they had truly LISTENED for more than .01 seconds they may have actually figured that out. Profit is HROSM's primary goal. Instead of referring me to a neurosurgeon who is well-versed in these types of implants, they orchestrated this huge lie to cover it all up. Dr. Aldridge's and Dr. Kapteyn's notes both downplay the pain/tenderness I experienced near my paddle lead implant. And Dr. Aldridge's written and verbal comments indicate he has a very limited knowledge of the system (specifically what it's meant to treat) and its possible complications. It's April and I still have discomfort in the area. My SCS now only covers *maybe* 1/3 of my right leg; because the paddle is no longer centered on my spine. I'm retired military and am NOT ok with being lied to. Integrity is very important to me. I tell the truth, even when it makes me look the fool. I admit when I'm wrong and apologize. And I ABSOLUTELY expect others to do the same. I never had a reason to distrust a medical professional until this occurred. If you are at all like me, pass on HROSM. I've never been lied to or misled by a doctor before. I cannot believe it was ok to cut on me knowing I'd have to have ANOTHER surgery. Knowing I'll have to dish out ANOTHER $2k+ per procedure, plus the recovery and healing time, isn't a happy thought. This charade has negatively affected my quality of life. It's mind-blowing how dishonestly HROSM operates. If a record doesn't reflect positively upon them, they just change it.

Was referred to this practice for a problem with left knee and heel. At the first appt, I was told they needed xrays. Ok -- makes sense. Then the PA came in --- and without talking to me about what I was experiencing with my knee/heel --- and without even touching or examining my leg, she pointed to the xrays and told me that I had arthritis in my knee (yes and been living with it just fine). Offered to give me injections (two different types). I proceeded to tell her the history of the problem (she never asked) and I pointed out the swelling around my heel. Again the PA did not examine it and said it looked like I may have some tendonitis or bursitis. So I went an entire evaluation without the PA even examining my knee and heel --- never touched or moved it one time. It felt like I was brushed off and I am sure my insurance is going to be billed for a complete eval. I am going to let my insurance company know of this situation. This is so disillusioning about this practice. Still can't believe that she didn't even examine the knee/heel. Unbelievable. UPDATE: After talking with clinic manager, I returned for an evaluation of my heel and knee. Dr. Dreikorn and PA Ron Smith were very thorough and able to identify the issues and prescribe an appropriate treatment regiment. Thank you to both and to Ms Hall for the followup.

My husband became septic and nearly died after both surgeries that were minor or should have been in their care. We have since for the last 2 years been seeing other doctors and having everything redone that was repaired by HROSM. We should have filed a suit but have taken the high road. Now after 2 1/2 years of not hearing from them(we didn't expect to) they have sent a collection letter. We always paid co pays. Never carried a balance. We have not received any bills or phone calls from them in last 2 years and again didn't expect to but have gotten a letter from a collection company saying 190.00 was owed to HROSM. My husband(still in wound vac care because of their negligence) has been trying to call their office and no one, not even office Manager cares or admits there's been a mistake and are doing nothing about it. Absolutely shameful! They won't return calls so maybe an employee will see this because I would love for someone to call so I can tell them that should be more worried about a law suit from staff & sepsus and less about us supposedly owing money when we were never called, never billed and paid in full as we went not to mention our insurance. 757-508-2977
