About Family Practice Specialists
Family Practice Specialists is a highly-regarded medical practice known for its excellent patient care. Patients consistently praise the minimal wait times, typically no more than three minutes. The practice has a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are well-liked by patients for their attentiveness and willingness to address concerns. Patients appreciate the compassionate care they receive, especially during challenging times like COVID. Many have noted that the staff takes the time to listen, often spending 30 minutes or more discussing treatment plans rather than just rushing through appointments. The practice offers a convenient online system for communication with providers and nurses, making it easy for patients to stay connected with their healthcare. Overall, Family Practice Specialists remains a trusted choice for those seeking quality care.
I highly recommend the physicians at FPSR. I see Maddie Coppock, F.N.P.-BC who is thorough, bright, inclusive, and just holistically wonderful. The nursing staff and phlebotomists are warm and professional as well. With the help of the attentive Stephanie Kouvatsos, P.A.-C, the jocular and dry Dr Miller did an incredible job attending to a wound I received as well. Alas, you must brave the calls to the front desk to get to these discerning and attentive medical professionals. The receptionist, Debbie, has never had a particularly pleasant demeanour but recently lectured me on providing the office with the right information about where to send prescriptions. As I was prescribed a sought-after controlled substance, I did not yet have info on where the medication would be in-stock but had to put my home pharmacy on the preliminary release/consent forms during my visit. While it’s a routine and simple fix on the office’s part (albeit tedious, sure), it felt both unwarranted and discourteous to admonish a client for a peccadillo that pertained to intra-organisational logistics and pharmacological bureaucracy of which Debbie was unaware. An exercise in non-judgement might just be the best call when dealing with ailing clients.
I cam to Family Practice Specialists for the first time. I felt very safe and comfortable in the office. I actually did not see anyone other than Amanda while I was there. She was in full PPE and the table and chair were protected. I saw Amanda for a facial peel. She was very professional and kind. She told me what she was doing every step of the way. She answered my questions thoroughly and eased my slight anxieties. I will DEFINITELY be returning to Family Practice Specialists of Richmond and especially Amanda!!!
