“Colonial Contracting Inc. (CCI) has been AMAZING to work with. Specifically Eric Martin and Joe Salubaugh!!! First off, I reached out to them after we experienced hail damage due to a hail storm during summer of 2022 and they helped us immensely with coordinating the claim with our home insurance company, Erie. Erie, of course initially denied our claim and CCI responded by coming out and doing all the diligence of taking pictures, videos, and documenting everything we needed in order to push back on Erie's initial assessment. After an initial few months of unresponsiveness on the part of Erie, they finally approved our claim for a mere fraction of the total damage. We then spent many more months "battling" with Erie in order to be fully compensated for the full damage done by hail. CCI held our hands every step of the way, spent many hours working with us and provided all the necessary documentation that we could then forward on to Erie in full support of our claim. After over 9 months of battling with Erie, they finally approved the full amount of our loss, and this was attributed 100% to the good work that Eric and his team did. They stuck with every step along the way.

Once we got the project kicked off, which consisted of roofing, siding, gutters, downspouts, and metal wrapping around exterior wood trims and fascia, Eric and Joe were fully accessible every step along the way. They managed the project from start to finish and worked with the subcontractors to ensure quality work. Even when we ran into some issues with the work (which were very few and far between) Eric was extremely responsive and made everything right without excuse or hesitation.

“Josue Garcia of Garvera Custom Renovations came highly and specifically recommended by a friend who worked at a local building supply company. We had been needing to replace our basic old deck which existed when we purchased the home. We needed not only something new but we wanted something solidly built and designed to make more sense of our yard space to increase better traffic flow and functionality. With our basic wants/desires, Josue drew up plans that fit what we were looking for. As the project started and progressed, Josue discovered existing problems that really needed to be corrected and we agreed to proposed modifications to the scope of work to include other add-ons that just enhanced the overall project. Very fast and efficient, the project was completed very close to schedule - a little more time added due to modifications and additions. “Wow wow wow!! We LOVED working with Closet Prep & Paint. We had our living room, stairwell, and two bedrooms upstairs painted. Teressa was incredibly kind, transparent, and detail oriented. She arrived promptly each morning to get started and provided her expertise on any questions we had. Our living room did not get full coverage after two coats since we were going from a beige to white, and she suggested we add a third. We are so glad we followed her advice, and she went the extra mile to get the additional paint herself. Other contractors were unable to tell if it was load bearing or not, but Craft Master Homes was able to quickly bring in an architect to verify the wall was not load bearing and began work almost immediately. “Easy Renovations did an amazing job building out the wall in my living room and installing a fireplace, large screen tv and soundbar. I think what’s important for this review is noting how professional they were throughout the project. Kayla, who is the company co-founder, initially met with me to understand what I was trying to accomplish, and what my concerns were with the project (timing, cost, and symmetry). She spent a considerable amount of time designing the wall according to my specifications and helped me understand details that I had not even considered. Eric, her co-founder, and husband drew out the wall in detail so that we could see exactly what the re-built wall would look like. I am not sure if it was then, or when they covered my whole living room in plastic to prevent dust, that I knew their work was going to exceed my expectations. It did, and it is so spectacular that you cannot tell that the new wall was not always there. They matched every detail in symmetry and color and added very professional lighting. “I meant to post this a few months ago, sorry it has taken me so long. In August, 2x4 Construction came to my house to install a sliding glass door. Before they came I thought the price was a little high, but they were recommended so I decided to pay a little more. It was well worth it! My original door wasn't plumb and Junior and John had to do a LOT of work to get my door in correctly. They were there all day on one of the hottest days of the year. Then, in December I noticed that the caulking around the door had come apart. I called Gary and he was over within the week and fixed it at no cost. Of course I gave him some money for his time and work. All three men were wonderful to work with.“

“A DSR representative found our roof in need of replacement and came to our door offering their services. They knew how to compile evidence for and work with our insurance company to prove our roof suffered storm damage and thus get the insurance to pay for our new roof. Long story short, we are happy with their efforts, their customer service, their timely work (our only delay was getting the insurance check!), and the results. I smile every time I see our new roof. “We have had now two projects completed by SGS Builders, and the work completed by Steve Sanders, Enrique, and crew was nothing less than outstanding. Several years ago we hired Steve to remove a load bearing wall to create a large open family room. Steve completed the project in record time and it looked perfect. In Mid-2018, we decided to add 1,000+ Sq Ft to our home to create a new Kitchen, living room and dinette space all in an open concept. What I had in my head was placed into a design by Steve and built exacted as we dreamed. It has now been nine months since the project was completed and we couldn't be happier with the finished project and Steve's work. The space looks great and we have had no problems with the workmanship. Everyone who has seen our new space has the same reaction, Wow, who did this work? There were so many complexities to this project which included the removing of a fireplace, raising a portion of the house that had settled, splitting the HVAC system to install an upstairs and downstairs unit, new plumbing, fixtures, adding a new section right next to an existing pool, the list goes on and on. Steve thoroughly planned each and every phase of construction in a timely and professional manner. To add to Steve's burden, my wife and I remained in the house throughout the 120 - 160 day construction period. We made a very large investment in our home and Steve was the only one we trusted to complete such a large project. Steve has outstanding project management skills as well as his vast experience in construction will keep any project on track. Steve and his crew were onsite 1 June through Mid-September and we had zero problems with the construction or crew. The subcontractors Steve's works with he has known for years and they are very good. We have found Steve's pricing to be fair, competitive, and honest. I would not hesitate to hire SGS Builders, Steve and Enrique, again. They are outstanding to work with and we couldn't be happier with our two projects completed by Steve.“
