“Karate at its finest in America. I take classes with three of my kids at Hanshi Doug Perry's school in NC and we are humbled to learn from him. Most Okinawa stools but especially a shorinryu school is better than the more mainstream Japanese mainland schools because it isn't just for show or developed for teaching to mass amounts of people (as were the forms as they were filtered through Japan after 1920s). If you are starting out or looking to train an authentic form of karate, shorinryu has the heritage and the simplicity to take you all the way. I have never been to this school in particular but I would still highly recommend checking it out even if you're already studying somewhere else!!“
