“I did 6 months of personal training here while rehabbing my hip after surgery. My insurance decided that I was healed enough after a few months of PT, but I still wasn't back to playing hockey and distance running. Shannon specializes in this area and helped me get back to these activities. She took the time to sit down and talk through my situation, do a thorough evaluation, and then create a workout plan that met all my needs. I went twice a week for 6 months and I felt stronger and more stable within just a few weeks. I am now back to playing hockey 2-3 times a week and running half marathons and I can credit Shannon and Kristen for helping me get back to these activities. I have also gotten a couple massages from Shannon that really helped loosen tight areas and relieve pain and tension. My only negative is the price tag, but this is also my first experience with personal training so I have nothing to compare it to. Also, you get what you pay for. I would recommend Function-N-Fitness to anyone looking for talented personal trainers or a sports massage, especially if you are rehabbing an injury and don't know how to get back to full activity.“

“Had a prenatal massage at Spa Mineral today, and really enjoyed it! The masseuse paid special attention to the areas I asked her to, and the pressure was great. The spa amenities were clean and nice. As a pregnant person the only things I could really participate in were the quiet room and women’s lounge, since the sauna and jacuzzi were off limits. “I had the best day ever at Woodhouse Spa. I decided to enjoy a day of pampering at the spa for my birthday. I'm 7.5 months pregnant so I opted for the "mommy-to-be" package which includes a prenatal massage and pedicure. My masseuse was Richard and it was the best massage ever! I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. Special spa details I appreciated: 1. Robes in a whole variety of sizes! Yay for size inclusivity. I was worried about whether the robe would fit my large baby bump and was very pleased they could accommodate 2. The "quiet room" where they offer snacks, water, hot tea and neck wraps. This room was very relaxing 3. The prenatal massage. They use a lovely lotion/oil that makes your skin feel soft and nourished. They set up a body pillow to help make you (and baby comfortable) 4. Cleanliness! This place is so clean! The staff are meticulous in keeping it clean and well stocked 5. Free birthday samples! If you celebrate your birthday there they give you free samples.
