You learn about customer service when something goes wrong, not when everything works as intended. We took our car to Baldinos to have a new chip key made for a 2019 Chevy. They hooked up their machine to program the new key, and the machine misfired, freezing up mid process and freezing our cars software. This caused the original key not to work. No key worked. We were stuck. The gentleman there was unwilling to call helpdesk support for the machine and suggested we have the car towed to the dealer as OURCAR WAS BROKEN and it was entirely our fault. There was no fault on their part to be had and no help they could offer. An hour later, after the associate closed down and left the store, insisting our car was the problem, I disconnected the battery and reconnected it (like pressing the power button on a computer). Voila, the original key works and I can drive away. If the associate had thought at any point that his machine caused the problem or that maybe he bumped the obd connector with his knee, we could have been satisfied customers. When something goes wrong, that once every so often, Don’t expect any help from their associate. Now that I’m done, they clearly broke it, but they insisted it was not their problem. They prioritized closing down and leaving while they leave you with your disabled car in front of their store. Tough luck mr customer. Shameful, unfortunate, and frustrating. Do better Baldinos.
what home depot and lowes cant do, they can do.
