Dr. Ashman and Hoofbeat’s goes above and beyond. She has also been diligent about continuing education and staying on top of treatments and research especially regarding lameness. I have a mare that was on pasture rest for a year because no one could figure out what was going on. After seeing Dr. Ashman we are back in business- she found and treated the issue that specialists at vet schools couldn’t figure out!
Hoofbeats Equine has, quite literally, been a lifesaver for my mare. For at least 3+ years, my mare had on-and-off hind end lameness, which included chronic suspensory ligament inflammation. Being in minimal work (mostly hacking a couple times a week), I was incredibly concerned seeing my horse breaking down and moving uncomfortably in the field. Their mobile service is on point. The vet reached out to me personally when my daughter's horse inconveniently found a way to poke his eye on something unforeseen. She came first thing!
