“I needed an emergency appointment since my dog was having symptoms and was not eating. Our regular vet was not available that day so I called countryside animal clinic. They gave me a same day appointment and Dr Valentino and her team very fantastic with my dog and with me as a pet owner. Dr Valentino did some labs right away that helped her diagnosed my dog’s condition and to provide a treatment plan. I am very grateful for her professionalism and her knowledge. Dr Valentino was so empathetic and caring.“

“I foster dogs for a local rescue that has a relationship with JAH. Sadly one of my elder pups had bladder cancer and declined very rapidly. Dr. Johnson squeezed us into her busy schedule for euthanasia the same day I contacted the office. Throughout the process, she was so caring and we never felt rushed. Our sweet pooch passed very peacefully. A few days later, I received the kindest sympathy card with notes from the staff and Dr. Johnson. When I get my next dog, I'm seriously considering taking it to Dr. Johnson even though there are many other vets closer to me in Arlington. The staff are equally kind and personable and remember patients even after only a single visit. This practice is a treasure.“

“Woofie's at Reston is fantastic! Well organized and very professional. Thumbs up for Bee who took a in-person tour to my home to set up profiles for my two cats (Ana and Alexie). Cheryl came to take care of them as planned every day. Cheryl is diligent and reliable. Completed all promised and more! We so appreciate her help! “We had a positive experience with Pender Pet Retreat while preparing documents for our dog under the new CDC rules for bringing pets from overseas. Special thanks to our coordinator Mike—I have no idea what I would have done without his knowledge and guidance. He was incredibly patient and thorough, walking us through every step and ensuring everything was done perfectly. After revaccination, we picked up our dog the next day, and he was happy and in perfect condition. Thank you!“

“Very nice and accommodating! Staff are understanding and their policies are very reasonable. As someone with a dog that doesn't play well with other dogs I'm glad they have options for care that don't involve group playtime, just communicate with them about your dog's behaviors. One thing to be aware of: if your dog uses a gentle leader (over the muzzle headgear used during walks to reduce pulling), make sure you communicate when it should be used. We dropped our dog off wearing her gentle leader (since she was on a leash), and it seems they didn't take it off of her during her multi-day stay, so she had scratched at her face a lot. I understand it was a communication issue and likely a policy to not remove gear unless instructed, so just make sure to explain!“

“I have been going here for a couple years now and have been really happy with them. Communication is wonderful. The front desk staff are friendly and personable. It easy to make an appointment or reschedule if needed. Dr. Munzig has been my pups primary vet and has helped through dealing with his severe allergies. She is easy to talk to and non-judgmental. She seems to really care in her heart about all her furry patients. I will definitely keep going to her!“

“Lady J and Jim are the best dog sitters we've found in the NOVA area! I have highly anxious dogs so finding care for them is quite difficult. Most sitters do not have the patience to work with them. Lady J pet services is the only place I feel safe leaving my fur babies with. My family and I travel frequently and we've used Lady J's Bed & Biscuit service on more than one occasion. My pets have grown comfortable and familiar with them which brings us ease when traveling. Her booking process is also so much easier compared to most places, though she does book out pretty quickly. Thank you Jeanette and Jim for always providing patience and care for my dogs!“

“Update: we have now been using Dogon Fitness for 4 years. Matt moved away and we now have Karla. She has become part of our family in the area. Our Koda passed away last year, but our Coco loves Karla. We trust her implicitly. Still 5 stars for us.From 4 years ago. My lovable dog Koda is a big yellow lab mix that we adopted from a rescue. He does not warm up to new people or experiences easily. It has not been easy to find a dog walking service capable have having multiple staff members who can just walk in and care for my dog. When we had to change services because he intimidated most of the dog walkers at my previous service; they recommended Carol and DogOn Fitness. Carol is calm and Koda loved her right away. Matt is a trainer and equally calm. It has been terrific feeling confident that no matter when I need their numerous services, they have someone that not only can care for my cautious Koda, but helps us continue our training with our foster dog Jake. They are helping us maintain his education while we find him his new forever home. Thank you Carol and Andrea for my peace of mind.“

“Our dog Toby loves it here! He is kind of an old grump sometimes but he adores the people and even plays with some of the other dogs, which is rare for him. We love that he is well-cared for and know he is in good hands while we are away. They also have excellent grooming services that are reasonably priced. We cannot recommend All of Creation Pet Care enough!“

“I moved to Dog Tales after our previous daycare got so big and impersonal. They kept raising rates and charging fees for everything. After calling five daycares on the phone to make inquires, Dog Tales was the only place that sounded inviting, caring, and friendly from the moment they answered the phone. Upon going for the first time, and all times after, the staff are always very accommodating, friendly, and they all know my dog's name. It is not the newest facility out there, but what they don't have in image they make up for in attitude and genuine caring for pets and their owners.“

“Sulleys is a 5 star go to ! I drive 1hr and 10 minutes to get there and it's worth it. My dog had surgery and couldn't do stairs as I have 15 outside my door no elevator it's a old building. Jess is a angel she took care of my dog Noka and supplied darling pictures everyday. Took my stress away. All meds were explained to me and even called to check on my fur child!

“My dog has some medical issues and separation anxiety (arguably both of us). I needed to travel for the weekend and wasn't able to bring my dog with me. Old Towne Pet Resort (OTPR) put all my worries at ease. From a tour of the facility with their director (Robin) to convenient after hours/early morning check-in staff (Joanne and Noah), and their webcam suites, OTPR checked all the boxes. The aforementioned staff are the GOLD STANDARD when it comes to expectations for pet care. For most of us, our dogs are more than pets and better than blood relatives, so entrusting their health and well being is super important. I'm grateful that OTPR has a wonderful staff and facility that I know my pup is in great hands if I ever need to board him again.“

“Update 2024: the price has increased crazily, like a fecal test or a wellness visit took me $90+ a few months ago and just a few months later it's $103 or $105. The staff are not as friendly as before especially for today's visit. It's such a disappointment given that we insisted on using CAH for both of my lovely cats even after we moved out of this area, which takes us 30mins+ drive from our new place), but now I think it's time to change.
Note: I hope all my appointments can be taken by Dr Tohill who I think is the best.“

“Best vet ever. We take all our babies here and they are always treated amazingly and with kindness. When we lost one of our babies the entire office was supportive and helped walk us through everything. It’s the best vet office we’ve found around here.“

“I am so thankful to have found ABWC and Dr. Pike specifically. My senior dog had significant, negative behavior changes a few months into bringing a new puppy into the home. These behavioral changes were compounded by issues caused by a mystery injury years earlier that never fully healed. We had tried several regular veterinarians for both the behavioral issues and the injury, but nobody was able to provide any real relief.

Dr. Pike was extremely warm, thorough, and nonjudgmental. We implemented the environmental changes Dr. Pike recommended and tried the medications suggested. Within only a few weeks, I felt like I got my old dog back. The negative behaviors disappeared, and my dog no longer seemed constantly distressed. His unresolved injury has also improved dramatically.

Although ABWC is pricey, for me, it's money well spent. I only wish I had called them sooner.“

“I’ve had great experience with this kennel. I was going on an international trip and needed to get in at the last minute when someone on Rover canceled on me. They stayed late, did everything they could so that my dog could be boarded. I would love to see the facilities, upgraded a bit.“
