Edify is such a hidden gem that I almost hate to post this (because then it will be mobbed), but I know it will help the endearing and engaging owner. This is the go-to place for my two teenage sons to get a great haircut in Short Pump, and they always enjoy a good conversation too. Emmanuel Gayot is the highly skilled owner, who not only excels at barbering but also at entrepreneurship and teaching high school students the art and science of barbering. Jack's preferred style is "Iceman" hair (think Val Kilmer in Top Gun), and Emmanuel pulls that one off beautifully. I was on a business trip to the Richmond area from Colorado and I need of a haircut. I found Edify through the strong reviews, man did this place deliver. First, thank you, James for a great haircut and precise beard trim... 5 stars unquestionably. Maybe more impressive and inspirational was the quality of every individual I engaged with in the shop. I believe many businesses mindlessly slap a name on their business. Edify is no such establishment, I would say purposefully named and delivered on an "Edifying" experience. New to the Short Pump and looking for a new regular barber, and happy to say I found the spot. Lawrence did an amazing job. I've had the same hair style for the last ten years and this is the first time I actually paused and said "wow" out loud in the chair. Thoroughly impressed!
