Working with Colonial Florist and Donna was a wonderful experience. We received exactly what we wanted including bouquets, boutonnieres, table greenery/flowers, small bud vases for the cocktail tables, extra flowers for the cake, and candles. Donna was responsive to my emails and phone calls. She spoke with us before we had picked a florist and described what she could do and would recommend. As we got closer to the wedding she was able to make adjustments to the number of table decorations and arrangements we needed and sent me an updated invoice each time. On the day of the wedding, they drove to Leesburg, VA (2 hours away!) to do all of the setup. They returned after the reception was over and cleaned/got their items. The long drive did not cost anything extra. Donna even put live flowers in my cake since my bakery was not able to. I was so happy with how all of the lovely flowers turned out and would recommend Colonial Florist to anyone in search of a wedding florist.
This place is amazing, they have a lot of different varieties of orchids. For orchid lovers out there should check out of this place. I purchased 5 total. First i bought about month ago,it thrives,forming another spikes and so far I'm satisfied. The owner's very friendly, gave me a lot of information about the orchids. Even though it's far away but worth it?

Stepping into the Laurie Holladay shop is like stepping into the Original Schully & Scully shop of NYC. (1940-1980’s) Where high quality curated items are available for our delight. Laurie and her team know their products, displaying items which catch your eye and can help you find just the right item for yourself or a friend.Gifts for the baby, the grandparent, the host and hostess or yourself, there is a wonderful selection. While the shop is small, and at times can feel tight when very busy, there is something in there for everyone.It is a delight every time I enter the store. I would highly recommend stopping in to the shop when in town. Especially for those who consider themselves preppy.
