We moved to Front Royal in 2001. We bought an already existing Nicholls home. It served us well for 6 years until our growing family outgrew our home. We decided to build our next home. We contacted Nicholls for an estimate on a new home. As smart consumers, we also contacted other builders. Ultimately, Nicholls had more options for less money. Our process with Nicholls was easy and enjoyable. They were flexible with our requests and open to design changes. A friend of mine was also building a house at the same time. I realized quickly that Nicholls upgraded some things without asking. For example, many builders do not bury the electric lines coming from the road. Nicholls does this as a standard. Nicholls also adds more insulation than is required. Both of these “upgrades” that we didn’t know we were getting have saved us a lot on f money throughout the years. After moving in we had a couple of minor issues that were not abnormal for new construction and Allen quickly remediate the issues. We have now lived in our second Nicholls home for 11 years. We love our home and have no plans to ever move.

My wife and I have had two houses built by Nichols Construction. Both houses we were very happy with, and with rains we have had this Spring and Summer, we have never had any rain in our basements. The French drains were installed very well and drain well. We are very glad. We have a huge hill behind our house and a lot of water comes off that hill. Basement is nice and dry.
