I’ve been training at the Lab for a little under 7 months, and from the first day I stepped in for a trial class, everybody has been incredibly friendly and supportive. The instruction is top notch and well-organized, and the motivation and commitment from the coaches goes far beyond what I ever could have expected. Since I started, I’ve lost 40 pounds and gotten in the best shape of my life, competed in a Jiu jitsu tournament, and made some great friends. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place, and I’d strongly recommend the Lab to anyone who wants to give Jiu jitsu or MMA a shot.
The LAB has been a life changing experience for our child. She started several years ago due to bullying in school. We went to the school and they were indifferent and said "the other child has a more difficult home life". These were the words directly out of the principal's mouth. Within several months at The LAB, she was a completely changed child. The coaches had this tiny child out of her shell. She is now outspoken and isn't afraid of ANY student (she is still the smallest child in every class). There has been several situations, where she stood up for others students as well. I started 5 years ago and now i Coach the kids/adult classes and compete in various cities and states; recently I had a fight for the cagezilla 145 title and came out with the win with their help. They're a great group of people if you want to compete or or just want to learn mma/bjj. If you're looking for a place to learn and have a great group of people supporting you every step of the way on and off the mats, I recommend you stop by!
