“Last weekend I brought my Cavalier to see Nicole at Shaggy Shears Pet Grooming for the first time. I explained what I liked when my girl was groomed, and Nicole took note of all I asked to be done, and NOT to be done. When I picked up, my pup looked amazing, seemed comfortable, and was obviously well taken care of. Nicole then told me she wanted to show me an area of concern. Thank God she did. It was an abscess in an area I would not have found until it was causing real trouble. We visited the emergency vet the next day, and the abscess was drained - requiring sedation. Thankfully, my little one was spared the trauma of rupture, and is on the medications needed for her to heal. I will be forever grateful to Nicole and Shaggy Shears for the wonderful, caring, and careful treatment my pup received. We'll be back for sure!!“

“Update: owner reached out to me and was apologetic for this miscommunication. Took my pet to the Plank Rd location instead and he had a great experience. I called to get a full grooming for my 10 lb Poodle Mix and was quoted $135 for a bathe and haircut. Not sure if the receptionist was inexperienced but that seems a bit ridiculous for the service requested. We recently moved to the area from Arlington, VA and I have never paid more than $85 there for the same service so of course I was shocked with this quote.“

All of the vets there are fabulous, but a special shout-out to Dr. Bell, who is a rockstar in our eyes for taking such good care of Winnie, our little cockapoo, who got very sick earlier this year with inflammatory bowel disease. She's doing great now thanks to Dr. Bell! Dr. Bell, Dr. Pepper, Dr. Skarbek, and every vet there, and everyone from the ladies at the front to all that work behind the scenes, are incredibly kind and work hard to take care of our pets!
