Centercare Urgent Care (Fredericksburg, Route 1)

Bad experience. Went in with a bad cough, difficulty breathing, and a very hoarse voice. The doctor came in without introducing himself, suggested a treatment that only lasts 15 mins tops and said I could leave when I'm done. Well, nobody came in to check on me at all and I sat there doing the treatment for an hour... I finally had enough and I said something to the medical assistant who then spoke to the doctor. The doctor said "huh I though you left?". What!? Also asked him for a work note which he never gave me. I'm not going back.

NP Sarah was amazing. The front desk is polite and helpful, the facility is very clean and there isn't a long wait. Of all the urgent cares in the area, this is the one we'll be returning to.

Overall a positive experience. The waiting room TV is loudly playing Scooby-Doo episodes. A bit odd as there were no small children to entertain. It's a better choice than typical "daytime TV", but muting or turning the TV off is better. Everyone in the waiting room was looking at their phones, not the TV. The several sheets to fill out for patient and insurance information are not difficult but some content is entered 2-3 times on different sheets. The check-in tablets I've seen at other offices seem a better idea to prevent duplicate entries on the forms, or rely on someone to re-enter the paper forms into another system.
